Emerging from Black
A cycle of minimalist works built through the contrast of black and light. The emerging forms suggest presence, movement, and emotions, leaving space for the audience's own interpretations.
Unobvious Identities
A cycle exploring the tension between what is visible and what is hidden. The images depict humans as multidimensional beings, constantly shaped by experiences, social roles, and internal transformations.
Roots of Memory
A cycle dedicated to the memory of places, people, and experiences. The images reveal traces of presence recorded in landscapes and nature, reminding us of the bonds connecting the past with the present.
In Between
A cycle examining the state of suspension between decision and action, closeness and distance, what was and what is yet to come. It is a story about moments of transition and uncertainty.
Silence of Transition
A cycle dedicated to transformation understood as an internal process. The images capture moments of pause, reflection, and maturation for changes that often occur beyond the sight of others.
Woman in Curls
An authorial cycle presenting a woman observing the world with distance, humor, and kind irony. The individual images depict everyday situations, emotions, and interpersonal relationships, encouraging reflection on how we perceive ourselves and the reality around us. It is a story about the female perspective, the freedom to be oneself, and finding meaning in ordinary moments.
Liberated Young Ladies
A project inspired by contemporary identity, freedom, and social roles. The cycle uses irony, humor, and conscious references to art history, creating a multilayered narrative about femininity, culture, relationships, and the modern world.
Some projects arise from observing the world, while others are born from the need to ask questions. Authorial Projects focus on cycles where the starting point is an idea – a theme developed through symbols, metaphors, and an individual painting language.
It is a space for cycles that do not tell about a specific place or a single motif. They are connected by the search for meanings hidden beneath the surface of the image and the attempt to capture what is difficult to name directly.
Each project creates a separate narrative, but together they show different directions of Barbara Puto's artistic explorations – from reflections on memory and identity to questions about relationships, transience, presence, and imagination.

Each project establishes its own narrative and offers a perspective on reality from a unique angle – ranging from reflections on identity to observations of daily life, the cosmos, or the hidden meanings found in forms and gestures.
