"Connections" is a story about relationships – those visible and those almost invisible. About tensions and closeness, about the spaces between people, nature, and emotions.
In the paintings of Barbara Puto, the motif of networks appears – sometimes biological, sometimes human, sometimes symbolic. This is a painting about what connects: organisms, experiences, memory, and sensitivity. About being together, even when each person stands in their own place.
The exhibition presents24 paintingsfrom three painting cycles:Micocosmos, Between, and Humanity. Each of them shows a different dimension of relationships.
In the cycleMicocosmos, the artist draws inspiration from the world of slime molds – extraordinary organisms that create extensive biological networks. Their structures become a metaphor for communication and interdependence in nature.
The cycleBetweenfocuses on the spaces of interpersonal relationships – on moments of meeting, tension, and silence that arise between people.
Meanwhile,Humanityis a reflection on the condition of the contemporary human – on their presence in a world where technology, nature, and emotions intersect and influence each other.
The exhibition is presented ontwo walls of the gallery and on three easels,, creating a space for dialogue between the paintings. The individual works engage in conversation with each other, showcasing different forms of connections – from microscopic structures of nature to relationships among people.
The "Connections" exhibition reminds us that the world – despite its diversity – remains a network of mutual dependencies.
The exhibition "Connection" presents paintings by Barbara Puto from three series: Microcosm, Between, and Humanity. Each of them showcases a different dimension of relationships – from the biological networks of nature, through the space between people and events, to reflections on the contemporary condition of humanity. A common theme of the exhibition is the idea of connections: between organisms, people, emotions, and the world around us.
